That's right, we're at Code Orange again here in my fair city of NY, and although Orange is (so I hear) the new black - i have nothing appropriate to wear. What's a guy to do? I am very much enjoying the city buses. I mean - where else can you go slower than you actually walk, with people pressed up against you so close that you may or may not have biblically "known" them, and not even know? Plus there's always somebody on the phone, and who doesn't enjoy a little bit of good old fashioned eavesdropping? Last week I overheard that Stephanie is totally cheating on Ron. Bummer. Unless you're the guy she's cheating on him with, in which case - sweet. Ahh - cel phones. Makes you yearn for the days of smoke signals and the Pony Express.

As this is the opening entry on my new website, I've been sweating bullets trying to figure out what to write, and I finally decided to follow my old high school teacher's advice and write what I know...
So let me tell you a little about tasteful interior design. Now, even though one of my ex-girlfriends insisted that if we ever co-habitated, i would only be allowed to decorate the basement, I feel like i have a knack for design. For instance, if you have a table or a shelf, it can look swell if you put something on it. A candle, a dish of candy, a lamp, even a crystal decanter, it gives the space a personality. Just make sure the personality isn't "sketchy", "bordello-like" or "putrid smelling." In terms of wall hangings, i like em! Especially if they are large animal skins. Or shrunken heads. Nothing says homey like voodoo paraphenalia. And as for lighting, call me crazy, but I like it. Because what's the point of an antique crystal decanter on the shelf by your Zebra skin if it's so dark you can't see them? I hope that helps, and remember, don't thank me - just buy me things.
