BRAD ALDOUS: Bio

Brad Aldous is a director, actor, producer, writer and comedian based in New York City.

DIRECTING
Brad's work has seen several million views on youtube. Brad’s directorial debut on film, "Amores Payasos", which he also wrote and acted in, has played film festivals in the US and abroad, including the prestigious Bermuda International Film Festival. His next short, "Dumbass Assassin" was featured on youtube.com. Brad recently produced and directed a 3rd music video for "The Weepies", one for indie hip hop artist Pete Miser, and is in post on a documentary film about the country music band the Ranchhands: "Big in Europe."

ACTING
Brad has appeared on "Boardwalk Empire", “Law & Order”, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, “As The World Turns” and as one of the hosts of “Standard Deviants TV” on PBS. Brad was a recurring sketch actor on "Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien" for almost 10 years. He also shot a featured part in the Disney film, "Confessions of a Shopaholic" which is out on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes and whatever else you kids watch things on these days. Brad will appear on an upcoming episode of CBS's ratings giant, "Unforgettable."

WRITING
Brad is currently writing for a brand new show in the UK on Skynet HD, he co-wrote a pilot for FOX TV, and is currently polishing an animated show and starting to shop a live action pilot he created.

COMMERCIALS/VO AKA corporate whoring...
If you have good ears, you can hear Brad pitching various products on radio and television, including SafeTouch insulation, Broadway shows, Dominoes, US Bank, Corona, Miller Lite, Pizza Hut, VW, Verizon, Marshalls, Lufthansa, Super 8 Hotels, Valvoline, The Science Channel, Man Vs. Food on The Travel Channel and more.. Brad has also appeared on camera in commercials for clients like HBO, Skky Vodka, Adelphia, LEVER 2000, STRIDE GUM, and MacDonalds. Brad was also the announcer for the 1st season of the New "Newlywed Game" on GSN hosted by the lovely, hilarious and uber talented Carnie Wilson.

STAND UP
For several years, Brad performed stand up comedy for audiences from London to Los Angeles. His monthly show in NYC, "Brad's Big Show" garnered a small cult following and rave reviews, hosting the best comics in NYC, like: Jim Gaffigan, Demetri Martin, Mike Birbiglia, John Oliver, Todd Barry, Craig Baldo, John Mulaney, Pete Holmes, Nick Kroll, Judah Friedlander, Mike Britt, Arj Barker, Michelle Buteau, Veronica Mosey and many many more! It is currently on hiatus - but you never know when it might be revived.

IMPROV
Brad took the stage regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater for several years, in "Piledriver" and "Robot TV", as well as on many house improv teams, such as Merkin, Snipe Hunt and Remedial Zen. He was lucky enough to study with UCB founders Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, Matt Walsh as well as the legendary Armando Diaz, and to perform along side comedy ninjas like the Naked Babies, Rob Riggle, Rob Heubl and many other guys named Rob.

Random Trivia.
Brad is an honorary PussyCat Doll, he spent 2009 touring the world with Britney Spears, he does "pretty damn good" sleight of hand magic, and is learning to play the mandolin. Slowly. Very very slowly.
